Our family is planning on a movie night together across provinces. Netflix offers a group watching option, which seems a fun way to connect between family groups/friends.

    Hi Everyone.

Came across this article this morning. It gave me encouragement in the midst of everything that is going on. And now I’m passing it on to you.

    Hey Everyone,

It’s been a heavy week of racial injustice and protest in the news and I feel like in moments like these I tend to feel a little bit paralyzed with anger and ignorance about what there is to be done about issues like systemic racism and oppression. But it’s also Pentecost and some piece of that means that the church is supposed to be empowered to stand against injustice and represent the love of Christ to the whole world.. Rob talked in the teaching today about how the Spirit is the active agent in Jesus’ work of making all things new – and it feels like the world really needs a new understanding of honouring unity AND diversity. So I thought I’d leave a couple of links of small acts we might start with to show up for justice and mercy in the world just in case people are like me and need some sense of direction or might want to connect about this conversation.

Lisa Olivera put together some fantastic journal/conversation prompts on instagram to explore privilege and whiteness:

Ta7taliya Michelle Nahanee recently put out the Decolonize First workbook, which you can find here:

I’m sure there are many other really great resources and actions to help, so if you have ideas I know I’d be glad to hear how others of you are finding ways to move through these issues.
